East Granby Congregational Church
Our Sunday morning worship begins at 10 am in our beautifully renovated New England style sanctuary. Our hope is that everyone who attends worship at our church experiences the presence of God, and enjoys a meaningful time of reflection that includes music, prayer, and community. Sermons are based on a full range of Biblical scriptures, and are designed to be very relevant to everyday life.
We celebrate Communion the first Sunday of every month with bread and juice, (gluten-free bread is available!) and ours is an open Communion, which means that everyone who would like to know the presence of Christ, in the midst of the fellowship of believers is welcome to join us in celebrating Communion, and in partaking of the bread and cup.
We are a congregation that believes prayer is powerful, and we encourage everyone to bring their joys and concerns to the time of prayer in worship, that we might encourage one another, and be transformed to love and serve wherever God’s people are hurting. As a true church family, we enjoy celebrating successes and the joys of life together!

Our children (Preschool - 8th grade) begin on Sunday mornings at 10:25 in their Sunday School Classrooms in our spacious Christian Education Center. They come to the sanctuary with their teachers at 11:15 for a Children's Message led by Pastor Terry Schmitt, and Leticia Soltero, our Christian Education Director. Our young people participate in the final portion of our worship each week.

Musical expression in worship is inspiring, uplifting, and diverse. We have a large adult choir, a bell choir, and a children’s choir, and we embrace the musical gifts and talents of many in our congregation who play guitar, keyboards, brass instruments, flute, drums, and violin. This allows us to enjoy a variety of styles of music in worship – from contemporary to classical, and most everything in between!

Special Services
Throughout the year, we experience many opportunities for worship in special services such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter Sunrise, Shadows and Hope of Christmas and 3 Christmas Eve Services. All of our services are open to the entire community and we invite and encourage everyone to join us!
