East Granby Congregational Church

Our History

Back in 1969, East Granby did not have any preschools. At EGCC, a group of church members felt that the town needed a preschool, and began planning for it. The first class started in early 1970, using the Fellowship Hall as their classroom. Since then, many children have been nurtured, taught, and cared for by our teachers. We have had a number of children of alumni attend our school - it is always exciting to meet a second generation of EGCCNS students!
Presently, the Nursery School has its own room in the "round building," with an entrance on that north end of the building.
The EGCC Nursery School operates as a non-profit entity. The Nursery School Board, comprised of church members, is charged with guiding and directing the program.
